I think that most university students have done a group project and I think most of the students have probably been so angry because of those who didn’t do their part. Also, at a part-time job, maybe you have seen the people who were absent without notice and just didn’t care. Their common point is that they are very egocentric and selfish. They know nothing of their responsibility. Actually, I have also not fulfilled my responsibility. I used to blame the environment around me and be selfish before I learned to be held accountable for my choices. In the military, I was under great duty stresses because I was an administrative clerk. Although it was my choice to apply for that position, I complained about my position for about one year after I joined the army. After that, I realized nothing was changed by my complaints and I was making myself miserable. I decided to do my best at my position in order to prove that I could take responsibility for my choice and then, I could be recognized and become indispensable for my department. I think learned that choices require responsibilities and duties in the military. You know May 19^th was Coming-of-Age Day and many events were held to celebrate the day in Changwon City. But, I could see few of the events teaching responsibilities and duties that adults should have. So, I hope the students who came of age will recognize they have to face up to their responsibility by this article. They should know the society can no longer afford to overindulge them and when they make a mistake, people won’t blame them for doing that but, if they shrink from their mistake and put the blame on another, the people will denounce them. I hope they can become the true adults who take responsibility for his or her freedom and choice.
