On September 14th, CWNU announced that it had signed a student- centered international exchange agreement with Deakin University in Australia. Deakin University, a national university in Victoria, Australia, officially invited President Lee Ho- young and Andrew Stanley Millard, head of the International Exchange Education Institute. Major figures such as President Ian Martin, Consul General Lee Chang- hoon in Melbourne, Deputy Mayor of Geelong City Trent Sullivan, and Richard Cho, head of Hanwha Defense's Australian subsidiary, attended an international agreement ceremony with Deakin University in Australia. At the international agreement ceremony, CWNU and Deakin University wished for the infinite development of each university and promised to make every effort to form a friendly relationship through the dispatch of exchange students and research support. President Lee Ho- young, who attended the signing ceremony, said, "I hope that the international agreement between CWNU and Deakin University will have a positive impact on Changwon Special City and Geelong City."

Deakin University, which pledged friendly cooperation with CWNU, was officially established in 1974 and has 60,000 students. Deakin University's campus is located in Melbourne, the capital of Victoria, Australia, and the second largest city of Geelong. Deakin University, ranked 26th in the QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) world ranking, has a global advantage as a prestigious higher education institution. The international agreement signed between CWNU and Deakin University in September is based on mutual research cooperation between CWNU and Geelong City's economic mission in the industrial and academic sectors. CWNU's LINC 3.0 Project Group signed an international cooperation with the Geelong City Economic Mission in Victoria, Australia, in May. The Geelong City Economic Mission, consisting of executives from Geelong City Manufacturing Committee, Deakin University and Geelong City Corporation, shared business explanations and industry- academic cooperation cases related to the Graduate School of Hydrogen Energy Specialization, and the Graduate School of Advanced Defense Engineering for about three days from May 15 to 18, to promote economic diplomacy, sales, and partnership among small and medium- sized enterprises, located in Changwon Special City and Geelong City. Furthermore, CWNU and the Geelong Economic Mission in Australia held a meeting focusing on economic growth between Australia and Korea, including participating institutions, communities, and national competitiveness measures through mutual business exchanges. In addition, they joined forces to solidify the foundation for global industry-academic cooperation.

In addition, CWNU has announced that it will expand international cooperation with Monash University, a public university in Victoria, Australia. Monash University, which promised to sign an international agreement with CWNU, is an influential university that has achieved 42nd place in the QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) world ranking. The solidarity between CWNU and Monash University can be confirmed through the online one- two- one program. Meanwhile, nine students at Monash University provided direct help in translating English materials at a special exhibition of independence movements and Japanese military Japanese Military Sexual Slavery, hosted by CWNU last year. In response, President Lee Ho- young received a plaque of appreciation and commendation directly from the nine students of Monash University who participated in the translation of English materials. CWNU, Australia's Deakin University, and Monash University, which wants students to grow into global talents, are planning and conducting activities in various aspects through mutual consultation.

CWNU strengthened its commitment to harmony and solidarity by signing international agreements with Deakin University and Monash University. In particular, President Lee Ho- young hoped that the conclusion of an international agreement would be a place for global communication for students at Deakin University and Monash University in the future. President Lee Ho- young said in an agreement ceremony with Deakin University in September, "The two countries have continued comprehensive exchanges as strategic partners since 1961 and we expect the international agreement between CWNU and Australia's prestigious universities to play a major role in shared growth through mutual student exchanges and joint research on the basis of this," adding, "We will work together to implement active exchange programs in the future to achieve tangible results." We hope that CWNU, Deakin University, and Monash University will provide complementary help in various fields such as economy, culture, and education through active exchanges. In the future, we hope our university students will gain various experiences, starting with the signing of international agreements between Deakin University and Monash University.
