Enjoy Dae-daong-jae!CWNU passion at the 42nd auunal festival
Bong-rim Dae-dong-jae festival at CWNU was held from October 4th to October 7th. Our festival celebrated its 42th year. During the festival, there were many passionate performances and various special events.
On first day, festival held its opening ceremony. There were performances by dept. of Music¡¯s orchestra, an invited dance team, and energetic pop singer Mighty Mouth.
On second day, a national cheerleading festival was held by various university cheering teams. The cheering festival consisted of performances by CWNU¡¯s cheerleading team Phoenix (undergraduate and graduate), as well as performances by six invited school¡¯s team (Yeungnam University, University of Ulsan, Kyung Sung University, Dong-A University, Daegu University, Sungho Elementary School), and dance performances by dept. of Dance. The audience enjoyed seeing the performances all together. One student said that it was good to see various rousing cheering performances by each school¡¯s team. When the cheerleading festival was done, pop singer Davichi¡¯s performance began. So many people came to that performance so it was very hard for latecomers to see. The performances were more enthusiastic and impressive than performances on first day.
There was an annoying situation that made people frown. The festival volunteers neglected their duties. Their duties were to set up barricades and maintain a well-ordering performance atmosphere. What was worse, they ruined the whole atmosphere by taking pictures of Davichi in front of stage. So the atmosphere was very distracted. Some people even represented themselves falsely to be a reporter for school¡¯s newspaper and took pictures of Davichi in front of stage.
On third day, our university clubs¡¯ performances were held with comedian Kim Won-hyo¡¯s presiding. Their performances were well-prepared and well-done. They were performed for about four hours. Performers were four bands (She¡¯ll, Comuse, DDangsarang, Cyprus), dance club E-Masters, Hiphop club 4dabeatz, Taekwondo club Sunrang, classic guitar club Mimi, and oversea volunteering club Good News Corps. After clubs¡¯ performances were done, club DJ ECHO gave a very energetic show.
On last day, our school song festival Superstar C was held. Ten teams participated in that song festival, and the festival consisted of two parts. Participants had remarkable singing skills so they attracted attention. When the festival was done, a rousing performance was held by pop singer Leessang. The highly elated atmosphere of song festival got even more heated up thanks to Leessang. After the performance, the grand finale came in the form of magnificent fireworks.
Also, students enjoyed various special events. Special events included a flea market, a free make-up event by Mary Kay, a cooking contest, a guerilla quiz, a relieving hangover event, a food fight, and so on. In particular, the free make-up event was very popular for female students because they could learn which make-up was a good match for them and get made-up by Mary Kay make-up artists.
