In the case of the speaking class, 50 senior students with TOEIC scores of 550 or higher attended lectures at Durae Hall. And to improve their speaking ability students talked on the phone in English with a native speaker 3 times a week, and corrected their pronunciation and intonation online. The TOEIC academy also offered online lectures to students grouped by ability. And students observed scientifically and statistically their improvements in TOEIC speaking, as well as their weaknesses, through simulated tests offered twice during the offline special lecture period. Finally, students took a normal TOEIC speaking test on August 25.
Meanwhile, the TOEIC intermediate level class selected 40 junior and senior students with TOEIC scores of 450 or higher. They met in Building 85. These students also took a simulated test. According to the results of the test, students learned their mistakes, and the academy proposed a TOEIC score goal. The academy also offered one-on-one personalized learning to address weak areas, with the goal of improving students’ TOEIC scores by 50 to 100 points over their current scores through results analysis.
CWNU expects to strengthen the university’s status in education and employment through operating the TOEIC academy.
