CWNU was selected as 2nd place in the ceremony held last March 18 for the Education Empowerment Project. CWNU accomplished the outstanding feat of being selected as a university awarded with support for the Education Empowerment Project for three consecutive years. This year, CWNU will receive a total of 3.865 billion won from the government. Considering the total student population, this amounts to 45 thousand won per capita.

Besides being selected for the Education Empowerment Project, CWNU received 2nd place among all the provincial universities in which the number of participant students is more than 5 thousand less than 10 thousand in Education Empowerment Project

This amount of money received was allocated on April 7th. The center of Empowering Education selected 8 projects of affair sections and 12 projects of various departments.
The selected projects lists are: 8 projects of affair sections: Expanded support for student scholarship (The Office of Student Affairs), Employment Empowerment (General Human Resources Development Center), Support for Certificate Acquisition (Information and Computer Center), Professional Training through Passing Examination (Bongrim Institute for State Examinations), Support for Attracting Excellent Students in 2011 (The Instruction & Entrance Section), Support for Teaching and Learning (Center for Teaching and Learning), Be Internationalized and Globalized (International Affairs), Foreign Language Empowerment (Language education center).

The 12 projects of various departments are: Efficient Teacher Training Education (Dept. of Early Childhood Education, Special Education), Centralized Program for Public Sector Employment (Dept. of Public Administration), Accounting Professionals Training (Dept. of Accounting), Tax Professionals Training (Dept. of Tax Management), Welfare Professionals Training (Dept. of Child & Family), Health & Food Professionals Training (Dept. of Biochemistry & Health Science, Food & Nutrition), New Paradigm Establishment for Working-level Workforce Training (School of Mechatronics), Offshore Plant Design Engineer Training (Dept. of Shipbuilding Engineering, Chemical & System Engineering), Nano-materials Fusion Technology Leader Training (Dept. of Metallurgy and Materials Engineering, Ceramic Science & Engineering, Physics), Nakdong River Water Disaster Education (Dept. of Civil Engineering), Smart Green Construction eEucation (Dept. of Architecture Engineering, School of Architecture Engineering), CWNU Opera Academy (Dept. Music, Dance).
