Changwon University Human Rights Center Holds 2021 Gender Equality Content Contest

¡ãA picture of human rights and gender equality

A human rights and gender equality content contest, hosted by the Human Rights Center of Changwon University’s National University Promotion Project, is under way. The contest will provide a place for solidarity and experiential human rights activities that can induce students of Changwon University to pay attention to human rights equality and exercise their human rights capabilities. Anyone among Changwon University’s students can participate by organizing themselves as individuals or teams. The contest is based on the creation of content about university human rights and gender equality. Content can be submitted in various formats, such as promotional videos, card news, or logo slogans.

The contest period was from May 26 to July 26, 2021, but due to the change in schedule, it was extended to September 30, 2021, allowing more students to participate. The screening period is from October 4 to October 6, 2021. The announcement of the award-winning film is scheduled for October 14 and will be posted on the website, where it will be individually guided. The award ceremony will be held on October 19, with the venue yet to be determined. The evaluation method of the contest is to comprehensively implement the human rights and practice indicators. Freedom, equality, and solidarity are evaluated in the human rights indicator area, with sensitivity, creativity(diversity), and applicability(reality) being evaluated in the practice indicator area.

Works submitted at other competitions, works with copyright-related issues, abusive language that violate the standards of ethics, non-educational works, and original creations, will be disqualified from the screening. A total of 1.5million won will be awarded to the winners of the contest, with a prize of 500,000won, 200,000won, 100,000won, and 20,000won, respectively, for one Best Team Prize, two Team Excellence Awards, five Team Encouragement Awards, and five Team Participation Awards

The method of participation shall be to submit an application for participation, a consent form for providing personal information, and a work showcasing appropriate content. If you visit the web-site of Changwon University’s Human Rights Center, you can download an application form for participation, a consent form to use and provide personal information for collection, and you can submit the application by e-mail from the person in charge. An application for participation shall be submitted after preparing an outline of the applicant’s information, such as the applicant’s name, e-mail, contact information, the title, intention, and content of the work. Changwon University aims to secure human rights of university members, by deriving and sharing practical tasks to promote human rights in local universities, through creative activities of this contest. It is hoped Changwon university students will study human rights and gender equality, by participating in the Human Rights and Gender Equality Content Contest, which can promote human rights at local universities.
