GNU threatens the true meaning of local universities

Gyeongsang National University established an industrial campus in Changwon whch became a some sort of threat to CWNU. CWNU expressed deep concerns regarding the expansion of Gyeongsang National University to Changwon region. 'Changwon industial campus' is the fourth official campus of Gyeongsang National University after Chilam campus and Tongyoung campus. Changwon industrial campus will have undergraduates and graduate students of mechanical fusion engineering department. Gyeongsang National university made their way in to Changwon eariler when they were selected as a provider in accordance with the plan to establish a 701-bed hospital in Pal-yong dong.
CWNU proffessors, students associations and public officials council expressed their dissatisfation with the entrance of Gyeongsang National University campus in Changwon through local newspapers. CWNU officials said "Local national universities have a responsibility to develope through mutual cooperation and contribute to the development of local community where the universities are located and creating more campus is more of a side effect than contributing to local development"
On the other hand, Gyeongsang national University admitted that expanding their university further to other areas have interfered with the major policies and projects of CWNU. "In the future, we will actively respond to the unreasonable actions of Gyeongsang University trying to trespass Changwon" said CWNU officials. They also pointed out that the continuing expansion of Gyeongsang national University threatened and shook the true meaning of local universities and the expansion should have been agreed between the two univerities before going through the final process."
Meanwhile, the president of Gyeongsang University said, "We have not officially announced any positions and will not to take official actions."
