The weather is getting colder and colder. It was very hot lately but now the autumn has come. I recommend you all to enjoy various festivals in our region and in others. Fall is a romantic season so it is not good to study too much of the time, I think. Like many of you, I don’t like to just study, so I’ll enjoy some festivals sometimes. I want to introduce two famous festivals of our region to you.
Do you know about Changwon Festival? It is held fifthly on this year. It will be held in Yong-ji Park and on Central Road near the Changwon City Hall, from October 19th(Sat) - 20th(Sun). It has become a big, famous event for Changwon city. There are many events we can enjoy, such as a parade, and multiple booths we can experience how to make iron, song contest, and so on.
Also I’ll tell you about another famous festival, the Gagopa Chrysanthemum festival. It is held in Dot Island of Masan. It has contributed to promote our superior chrysanthemum for a long period of time. Also, there you can enjoy ‘千香旅心’, which is the biggest polycyclic chrysanthemum in the world and consists of about 1,400 flowers. It was entered into the Guinness Book of World Records in 2010! So you can feel the enthusiasm, patience, and sincerity of the cultivators who cultivated it. Also ‘千香旅心’ is regarded as a way to grant people’s wishes so many people pray to it in the festival. I wish you could see it in the festival. I’ll also go there to pray about my own wishes. Good luck to you!
