First, good grades are essential. You should have a GPA of 3.6 at least. Students usually say that they need a GPA over 3.5, but that is not enough to get a good job. You should aim for a GPA of 3.8. Secondly, internationally authorized English tests such as TOEIC, TOEIC SPEAKING, and OPIC are very important. Scores from them are fundamental for getting a job. Many companies interview applicants in English nowadays. Among these, TOEIC is indispensable for job applications. You should not neglect your TOEIC studies despite its difficulty. Thirdly, you must have your own story describing your unique personality, and how you are different from others. This makes up most of your self-introduction letter. So you should do various things such as volunteer work, entering competitions, and extramural activities. Fourthly, get some computer certificates in fields such as Industrial Engineering Office Automation, and word processing. They are generally required for white-collar jobs.
Prepare for employment early. If you don¡¯t, you will really regret it like me.
