From April 1st, some organizations have changed. Firstly, CWNU press has been separated from the Media Center, it is now an independent organization. The CWNU press consists of the Chang-won University newspaper and the Campus Journal and the press welcomed the new adjunct professor, Jo Hyo-re from the department of Sociology. Prof. Jo is now the general controller of our press with a fugleman, Park Min-young and the managing editors, Jung Hwan-su (09’ Dept of Mechanical Engineering) and Jung Jae-heun (12’ Dept of Journalism & Mass communication) each managing the Campus Journal and the Chang-won University newspaper.

There were also other changes. The female university student career development center was separated from the general human resources development center. The female university student career development center held lectures by popular and successful female figures and as an independent center; we expect good things to continue.

The equality for human rights center was also separated from the General human resource development center, and was renamed the students’ living cultural center. It consists of a counseling center for sexual harassment and violence and a center for students’ living situations.

Some students welcomed this; “I didn’t know about the equality for human rights center” said Beak Seung-gon (09’ Dept. of Sociology) “and I think this center can be helpful for students in times of need. I only knew about the general human resource development center because of the job training camp, and I heard these departs are working so hard for our students. So I hope more and more students know about these centers and use it.”
