On Friday, Feb. 14th, the 2013 Winter Commencement was held at the Education Hall. Although it was cold, the graduates looked happy. Many people, including CWNU president Lee Chan-gyu, the president of the Alumni Association, and family members braved the weather to attend the celebration. The ceremony took about 2 hours. Although the ceremony took a long time, many people sat through the ceremony to heartily congratulate all the graduates.
President Lee Chan-gyu said, "First, I appreciate and respect all of the graduates, their families, and professors. Now, we are living in a global period. The graduates will go through more difficult and various hardships than the last generation. I sincerely hope all of the CWNU graduates overcome the hardships and get wisdom. If they overcome the hardships, our society will develop."
One female graduate said, "I'm very happy, but I feel nervous at the same time. From now, I will meet the 'real' society and face various hardships. But I will also try to overcome the hardships. I will never forget my happy and youthful campus life at CWNU. Good bye, CWNU!" Her face was full of a feeling of expectancy.
CWNU granted bachelor's degrees to 1,173 students, master's degrees to 241 students, and doctoral degrees to 42 students. In total, CWNU has granted bachelor's degrees to 41,523 students, master's degrees to 8,031 students and doctoral degrees to 711 students.
