A Night of Reading and a Book Exhibition
The CWNU library held events to encourage students to read books. These events were hosted by the Division of Academic Information, and many students participated.
A Night of Reading was held in the third floor reference room, on October 31 from 7pm. to 11pm. It was limited to 100 students, so some reserved in advance. However, attendance was poorer than expected, so only around 80 students enjoyed this event. Participants could read various kinds of books for 4 hours, and afterwards write a short book review. They also enjoyed sandwiches and beverages during the event.
¡°I appreciate the CWNU library¡±, said Choo hye-rim (Dept. of Japanese Language & Literature), ¡°because I recognize the importance of reading books. The CWNU library give me a chance to read books. So I like this event.¡±
Yoo Kyong-jong, division director of Academic Information, said that reading books is important because it can change someone¡¯s life and help people mature. So he plans these events and hopes that a lot of students actively participate in them.
Meanwhile, a book exhibition was held from October 28 to November 1 in the library U-lounge. Students and other people appreciated some art, and displayed books written by Kyoung-Nam writers such as Kim Dal-jin, Park Jae-Sam, Yoo Chi-hwan, Lee Byeong-joo, Lee Won-soo and Lee Pyeong-ki.
