The School of Architectural Engineering held an architecture exhibition from Sep. 6th to Sep. 11th in building 54. On Sep. 6th, in spite of the rain, many people who visited the opening ceremony appreciated the students' exhibition. On exhibition were graduates' building models with explanatory boards. All of the models had different themes, such as new-style Korean traditional houses or types of cranes to construct high-rise buildings. During the exhibition period, there were two lecturers (Lee Sung-guan, head of the Hanwool architecture office, and Park Hyo-seok, secretary of the Kyeong-nam education inspection team) on Sept. 10th and 11th. During the opening ceremony, the president of CWNU, Lee Chan-gyu, said, "Congratulations for holding the 15th exhibition. I think architecture is a combination of art and technology. I believe that architecture plays an important role in industry and culture. So the architecture department is really needed for improving our quality of life." And he added, "Students, thanks to your passion and patience, this exhibition was held successfully. I want to give congratulatory and encouraging words to students, their parents, and the professors." In the exhibition hall, there were some students who prepared exhibitions and explained their works to others, so people who don't know about architecture could understand simple principles. "Preparing the exhibition was hard. For 6-7 days, we stayed up all through the night while planning and studying the exhibition models." says Seo Hyun-tae (Department of Architecture Engineering). "But as the proverb says, 'sweetness comes after bitterness.’ After I went through the hardships preparing the exhibition, I feel that it was all worthwhile."
