Meanwhile, the general students¡¯ association had a memorial ceremony on March 8. The student body president, Jeong Ho-jin (Dept. of International Relations '11) bowed in front of Bongrim student hall and greeted CWNU students. Some students stood in a circle and participated in this event. "It was good," said Kim Do-hyo (School of Nano & Advanced Materials Engineering '13). "I didn¡¯t know about the general students¡¯ association, and it was a good chance to see them." He seemed to enjoy this event, and looked interested.
In spite of the cloudy days, CWNU was energetic during this period. Club members went around in front of Bongrim Student Hall and talked with freshmen and other students. PHOENIX, the CWNU cheering squad, gave a performance in uniform. As they had also performed for other events such as freshmen orientation, some freshmen were already interested in this group. And CYPRUS, the rock band club which has existed since 1982, also gave a performance. They played instruments including guitar and djembe, and sing.
On the third day, March 8, the freshmen had a special time, the club room tour. This is an annual event in which freshmen can look around the club rooms. And students who were not freshman could also enjoy this event, so they too can join a club as new club members. Lee Yu-jin (Dept. of Nursing '11) said "I had wanted to join a CWNU club, but I always missed my opportunity. However, I had more interest in clubs due to the club room tour. So I¡¯m going to join a club this opportunity."
