For the freshmen, each college prepared some events such as sex education and lectures about campus life. And there was also registering for courses with the seniors' support. It began from 1 p.m., and they did it competitively to catch some high demand lectures or essential lectures such as English or Great Books Readings. But an error of the computer network occurred during course registration, so freshmen had some trouble doing it.
The official events continued all through the morning, and after lunch, freshmen gathered at each of their departments. Enrolled students had presentations or welcoming parties. They introduced their faculty members and student council members. They also taught them about the 4-year course of study and gave some tips on campus life.
Meanwhile, the orientation for graduate students was held the following day, February 20. It had relatively simple procedures, but progressed in an earnest atmosphere.
CWNU also had a special event for freshmen, a retreat. It was short retreat of two nights and three days, and took place on different days in different colleges. College of Humanities left first, from February 19 to 20. And College of Economics & Business, Natural Science, Engineering and Arts left together from February 20 to 22. College of Social Sciences left last, from February 25 to 27. Some officials, continuing students, and freshmen participated in it, and during the short retreat, they became intimate with each other and made special memories.
CWNU¡¯s freshmen welcoming events ended successfully. The entrance ceremony will be held on March 4, 2013 at Changwon KBS Hall.
