The 31st graduation ceremony was held at Education Hall on Friday, Feb. 15th. It was a sunny and cool day, so graduates looked happy and enjoyed the day. Many people, including CWNU President Lee Chan-gyu, important figures such as the president of the alumni association, the chairman of the board, and others came to the ceremony to celebrate with the graduates.
The ceremony included a report on Changwon National University’s history, the degree and certificate conferment ceremony, the awards ceremony and a congratulatory message. Some students who did best and had high achievements during their university study received awards, and all the participants congratulated them. The prize winners were Bae Su-in (’09, Dept. of Industrial Design), Lee Geon-won (’03, Dept. of Public Administration), Jo Young (’08, Dept. of Economics), Kim Ji-man (’07, Dept. of Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering), Lim Ji-hyun (’07, Dept. of Business Administration), Kim Min-jung (’07 Dept. of Fine art), Woo Sun-hee (’09, Dept. of Biology), Kim Min-jun (’04, Dept. of International Trade), Jo Yoon-seok (’09, Dept. of German Language & Literature) and Kim Da-hye (’09, Dept. of Child & Family).
After the ceremony, graduates gathered together and had a special time with friends and family. They took pictures to memorialize their ceremony with graduation cap and gown, and some of them had a party with colleagues. All the graduates had a happy time.
In total, CWNU granted 1,292 bachelor’s degrees, 237 master’s degrees, and 35 doctoral degrees. The 31st graduation ceremony finished well, with a lot of satisfied and pleased people. We hope they adapt well to their new social life and circumstances.
