Changwon National University signed a partnership agreement with Hyundai-Wia and Energy & Machinery Korea Co. Ltd. on Oct. 25^th, 2011. Hyundai-Wia is a manufacturer of automotive parts, airplane parts, and other machines and a main affiliate of Hyundai Motors Group. Energy & Machinery Korea Co. Ltd. is mainly engaged in the manufacture of machine tools. The agreement aims to cultivate talented people by offering courses tailored to the needs of the industry.

The signatories, CWNU president Lee Chan-gyu, Hyundai-Wia representative Im Heung-su, and Energy & Machinery Korea Co. Ltd. representative Kang Sam-su signed the agreement at CWNU president’s room and pledged to boost cooperation in fostering students with great potential.

Under the agreement, CWNU will offer a new curriculum for machine tools for promising students of the Dept. of Mechatronics. The two companies also promise to operate a work-study program to improve students’ practical skills, offer scholarships to qualified students, and expand recruitment.
