Are you interested in international study programs?
International Affairs briefing session on its Study Abroad Programs in the International Affairs seminar room.
On April 13th, International Affairs held a briefing session on its Study Abroad Program in the International Affairs seminar room. The programs explained were the Interchange Student Program, the Long Language Training Course travel to America, the Education Capability Reinforcement Business, the study abroad program at the student¡¯s own expense, the One to One Program, and the WEST Program.
This briefing session was held to provide much more information about the programs and to promote students¡¯ participation in these programs.
1. Interchange Student Program
Students taking part in the Interchange Student Program are sent to America, France, Ireland, Russia, Japan, or China. The period of recruitment is from the end of April into May. Students will depart in September and October 2011 for one year.
2. Long Language Training Course travel to America
The period of recruitment is from the end of April to May. Destination university is University of Texas at Arlington (UTA). Program capacity is ten members and students will depart in August 2011 for 6 months.
Important considerations for these two programs are school record, language skill and interview ability (the latter only applies to Interchange Program students).
3. Study Abroad Program at student¡¯s own expense
This program can earn approved CWNU credits only if you get permission pursue study at another university and reach agreement for academic exchange with CWNU.
4. One to One Program
Period of selection is twice a year, and 50~100 students are selected. Activities include helping foreign students at CWNU, language exchange, experiencing one another¡¯s culture, etc.
5. WEST Program
WEST means Work, English Study, Travel in America. This program is hosted by the Ministry of Education & Human Resources Development. Presently recruiting members for the 7th WEST program.
