Central library lockers were assigned to CWNU students on March 22. The selection method was a draw. The previous method of library locker assignment was a first come, first served basis. Therefore they had to spend a day in vain, on account of the fact that they can receive a library locker on the fourth floor of central library only if they line up early.

Since last year, when use of the portal site ‘Waagle’ was activated, written complaints regarding the library locker assignment method have been posted on ‘waggle’. The central library student committee conducted a survey to solve this problem.

The result of the survey was that many more students preferred a draw to the first come, first served method. But there was a problem with this method. It is such a headache because dealing for library lockers will become more frequent. The central library student committee reported that the asking price for a library locker on the fourth floor is about 90,000won.

Since the assignment procedure is much simpler than before, students can do it online. For this reason, the possibility of selling locker space has increased. Ahn seong bin(Dept. of Control & Instrumentation Engineering, 08), the president of the Central Library student committee said that “those students who really need lockers should use it. I hope students act with a good conscience.”
