The Department of Dance’s Kim Tae-Hun Dance Company was awarded the silver prize in a Korean dance festival held from 2010.10.21~2010.10.30 at Gwangju Culture & Art Center. The Kim Tae-Hun Dance Company students and teachers practiced all night, so the award is the result of hard work. The purposes of this festival are, first, dancers inspiring creation through participating in the Korean dance festival; second, to expand the dancer population; and finally, to balance the development of dance between regions. The 19th Korean dance festival involved a contest consisting of teams which qualified through a preliminary contest. The Kim Tae-Hun dance company joined as a representative of Gyeongsangnam-do, so receiving the silver prize has a great significance, and improves Changwon University’s and the Department of Dance’s image.
