CWNU supports projects aimed to provide information and assistance to students who are seeking employment. One such project is the Samsung SDS’ Campus Recruitment Event. Let’s learn more about Samsung SDS, the company that is sponsoring this event.

Samsung SDS’ Campus Recruitment & Employment Briefing

Samsung SDS, the best company in the field of Consulting, Network System Integration (NSI), Smart Infrastructure Engineering (SIE), ICT Outsourcing, Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), ICT Infra, and ICT Solution is holding recruitment on campus in 35 universities only. However, in the area of Gyeongsangnam-do and Busan, only 3 universities were selected, and CWNU is one of them. Samsung SDS said that they decided to hold this event on their own, without a request from CWNU.

On September 2nd, the event kicked off with campus recruitment where the mentor Cho Woo-Je, a Business Service Analysis Senior staff and an alumnus of CWNU gave practical advice to students and consulted with them. He said, “The kind of work at our company is maybe favorable for students in the College of Engineering, but the students who have different majors should not be afraid to go in for a job interview because we an on-board training system for incoming employees.”

The next day, on September 3rd, at Samsung’s employment briefing, event officials said that specifications do not really matter that much and instead emphasized that positive attitude and self-confidence play important roles at job interviews.

After two days of recruiting, students were encouraged and hopeful that with a little more effort, they too could join a company like Samsung SDS. Students in the lower grades were not only given courage, but also inspired to set goals and make plans for job skills development.
