CWNU won Baekmagang cup of canoe competition

CWNU canoe team won ‘the 6th Baekmagang cup national canoe competition’ for 2 consecutive years held in Chungcheongnam-do Bekjae canoe stadium between July 9th and 11th. CWNU canoe team acquired ten gold medals, four silver medals, and one bronze medal.

Canoe team’s Mok Hyeon (Dept. of Physical Education 2) was given the first rank in kayak single seat (K-1) 1000m, 500m, 200m and Kim Gil U (Physical Education 2), Kim Jong Seon (Physical Education 1) won three gold medals ranked number one in kayak two seat (K-2) 1000m and kayak four seat (K-4) 1000m, 200m. Jae Hun Hui (Physical Education 3), Lee Seul (Physical Education 3) took four gold medals by winning in kayak two seat (K-2) 500m, 200m and kayak four seat (K-4) 1000m, 200m.

Then, Kim Tae Eun (Physical Education 4) who ranked number one in 2010 Guangzhou Asian game members of the national team match won two gold medals and was ranked No.1 in canadieon single seat (C-1) 1000m, 500m. Canoe team’s director Kim Jeong Tae, a professor of Physical Education, said “The top position is harder to keep than to reach. I would like to give a big hand to those players who exerted themselves in keeping the position.”
