It seems that the door to public enterprises is still narrow for graduates of regional universities. Although it is said that public enterprises will increase the proportion of their new recruitment for this year by 80% over last year through restructuring the process for advancement, it seems that the regional quota system for talented people and the screening process using school recommendations are not properly executed to provide employment opportunities for students graduating from regional universities.

Therefore, in the first half of 2010, Changwon University is operating an employment support session for the open recruitment by major companies, providing assistance in the recruiting process and customized employment support.

Only students in their graduating year can participate in the session. The contents of the session include the explanation of the qualifications for the major companies and their recruitment processes, a coaching process for job application forms, the image-making process for each company, and mock interview training.

One student, Kim (24), who participated in the session, said, "Since many companies only hire a few people, I have been rejected by a number of companies to which I have submitted my application. However, by participating in the session, I have obtained a lot of useful information about the recruitment processes of the major companies. I think that everyone can benefit from participating in the session." He insisted that such an event should be held continuously.
