CNU Cycling team 'Sliver Run'
CNU Cycle Club has won 1 gold, 3 silver, and 1 bronze medal at the Sports Promotion Foundation’s Sponsored 11th National Cycling Competition. The Sports Promotion Foundation Sponsored National Cycling Competition, founded in order to enhance the capabilities of amateur competitors and upgrade the level of Korean cycling, took place at Yon-Ju City for 6 days from July 8th until July 13th. At 10:00 AM on July 8th, the opening ceremony took place with the attendance of Kim Joo Hoon, the chairman of the Sports Promotion Foundation, and Kim Joo Young, major of Young-Joo City, Goo Ja Yong, the president of the cycling league, officials from several institutions, and competitors.

The competition took place among middle, high school, and college student groups, and the adult groups, men and women formed 7 groups, 84 teams, and 440 people participating in the competition who put their names on the list, competed openly, and were selected based on their grades. At this competition our university cycling club Kim Hee- Jin contestant won the gold medal in the 1 km singles contest at 1 minute 11 seconds 30, and won silver medals in the group sprint, 4 km team pursuit race, and 4 km singles pursuit race, and Kim Hong -Bum won the bronze medal at his area of specialty. Gold-medal-winner Kim Hee-Jin stated “preparations for the competition were harsh but I am happy to have earned good results.” while Kim Hong-Bum stated “Being injured during the competition made it difficult but I will do my best to make good results in the national competition this coming October.”
