Park Min-won, a Professor at Changwon University, Won the Order of Nokjo Merit

On April 5, Park Min-won, a Professor of Electrical Engineering at Changwon University's Department of Electrical and Electronic Control Engineering, won the Order of Nokjo Merit, at the Seoul Government Complex. The order of Nokjo Merit is a medal given to a person who has worked hard as a Civil Servant and who has made clear achievements. The First Rank is the Order of Cheongjo Merit, the second is the Order of Hwangjo Merit, the third is the Order of Hongjo Merit, the fourth is the Order of Nokjo Merit, and the fifth is the Order of Okjo Merit. Professor Park Min-won's Order of Nokjo Merit is a prize given to those who contributed remarkably to the Balanced Regional New Deal.

Professor Park Min-won has been the head of the Smart Green Industrial Complex in Changwon, South Gyeongsang Province for the past three years, strategically promoting manufacturing innovation and balanced regional development. Professor Park Min-won was recognized for his contribution to the nationwide spread and economic development by directly planning eight of the Top 10 Core Projects of the Smart Green Industrial Complex. The increase in revenue and employment rates of Changwon National Industrial Complex recorded the highest performance among non-metropolitan areas. Professor Park Min-won also contributed to the community, not only in the Smart Green Industrial Complex Project, but also in the Regional Innovation Platform Project, where local universities, businesses, local governments, and innovative public organizations worked together. Professor Park Min-won said, "I will continue to do my best to create a next-generation future growth engine, uniting industry and academia."

In response, Professor Park Min-won attended the, "Korean version of the New Deal Meritorious Person Lunch Meeting," at the Presidential Office of Cheong Wa Dae, on April 7. Moon Jae In President, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance Hong Nam-ki, Deputy Prime Minister for Social Affairs and Education Yoo Eun-hye, along with ministers from related ministries such as the Ministry of Environment, Industry, Science and Technology, Labor and Public Administration. Park Min-won, a Professor who won the Order of Nokjo Merit was selected as the winner of this month's edition of the Korean New Deal, and 12 people who received government rewards attended. Regarding the meeting, Cheong Wa Dae explained, "This event is designed to encourage those who have actively cooperated in the private sector to achieve the desired results and settle down in celebration of the second anniversary of the Korean version of the New Deal." Professor Park Min-won, who attended the meeting with President Moon Jae In said, "As a community volunteer, I will always do my best for regional development."

The Smart Green Industrial Complex will transform the existing industrial complex into a digital-based smart and eco-friendly manufacturing space. Additionally, it is included in the digital, green convergence, and complex sectors of the, "Korea New Deal Comprehensive Plan," announced on July 14, 2020. The Smart Green Industrial Complex was selected as one of the Top 10 representative tasks of the Korean New Deal. Since the Korean version of the New Deal is a National Project designed to revive the economy after the Corona 19 crisis, we hope that investment and job creation will be successful through digital and green new deals, strengthening safety nets.
