|The briefing session about Vietnal Business Specialist Course|
Due to companies’ restructuring for 2% of annual low growth, stagnant domestic demand, intensifying competition with China and Japan, consistent decline of business confidence index (BCI) from the protectionist market after President Trump’s inauguration, the unemployment crisis has been a critical problem for all national universities, including Changwon National University. As students say, “It is extremely difficult to get employed,” companies state, “Among numerous candidates with passion, there is no talent to choose from and grow,” because what companies demand from candidates is different from the way they prepare for employment. Human resources manager in Hwaseung Group has stated, “We want to see charm and strong determination to bear difficulties from the candidates. With those two factors, the system for all business abilities is set.” In order to accommodate the increasing needs for charming talents, Changwon National University’s Creative Korea (CK) has launched a Global Business Leader Program. Its fundamental purpose is to not only help students get employed, but also grow leaders of the future of Korean society by unleashing their potentials through an established program. As the program starts with Vietnam, 40 students have been enlisted in the Vietnam Business Specialist Course on the 9th. The course’s purpose is to train business skills based on the changes in enterprise ecosystem for talents to grow as Vietnam specialists. Over 80% of them are looking for employment in national or global companies. The subjects for the program are students of Changwon National University who have fulfilled 6 semesters or more. After 40 trainees are selected among the subjects in the first round, 20 finalists will be chosen based on their grades in the second round. The trainees are to take Vietnamese 1 and FTA Trade Business 1 in their first semester and receive business skill training at Ho Chi Minh City University of Social Sciences and Humanities during their summer break. The 20 finalists will take Vietnamese 2, FTA Trade Business 2 and go to Thu Duc College of Technology to finish the last course for employment during their winter break. The program fee is 1/15 of the total costs in which only 20 finalists are required to pay for their summer break program (Vietnam Specialist Course 1). The market of Vietnamese local manufacturing industry is called ‘Gold Lock,’ gaining the world’s attention. As Creative Korea is known for keeping pace with the global trend, the future performance of its Global Business Leader Program is expected.
