The History of Smartphone

Do you like your smartphone? Do you know about the various devices that led to the smartphone? Well, let's go back to the 1990s. In the 1990s, we had to use a beeper before the mobile phone's development. In the 1990s, the beeper boasted an explosive customer demand. It was loved. In 1997, the number of subscribers exceeded 15 million in the general public. The beeper was the leading mobile communication device prior to the popularization of the cell phone. Communication was made possible while on the go, so that the beeper was regarded as an innovative communication device. The beeper was safe in terms of the leakage of personal information because, unlike mobile phones, they respond selectively. With the popularization of mobile phones coming in 2000, beepers disappeared and were replaced by mobile phones. However, in those days, the beeper made lovers hearts beat faster. We sang the serenade voice message to beepers, and there were a high number of calls to 8282 and 1004. We use to ask people to beep us after class. The beeper is a cute and very precious memory.
In the 2000s, mobile phones appeared. A mobile phone is a telephone that you can carry with you and use to make or receive calls wherever you are. The first mobile phone was a very large and heavy. Do you remember those earlier phones? We exchanged text messages on a black-and-white screen. In the early days of the phone's development, it was affected by geographical disadvantages, such as being in the basement of a building or in mountainous areas. Since 2000, these disadvantages were mostly overcome because production technology developed very quickly. Also, you could see through the LCD screen as well as make voice calls. Furthermore, voice recognition for mobile phones emerged. There were alarm functions, transportation information was provided, and we had the ability to use the video call functions. So, mobile phones were everywhere in the hands of millions of people around the world. At this time, we said ¡°Mom, almost everyone in my class has a cellular phone. Please buy one for me.¡±
In the mid-2000s, the smartphone appeared. Then, the smartphone replaced the PDA (personal digital assistant). It grew up with the weapons to compete against mobile phones. In 2008, the smartphone market introduced new products such as the Samsung Omnia, the RIM Blackberry Pearl Flip, the Sony Ericsson Xperia, and the Motorola MOTO queue. After the end of 2009, many smartphones, like the iPhone and the Galaxy, were released. The domestic smart phone market competition became more intense. This led to the popularization of smart phones. Now we live in a convenient era, and the role of the smartphone is very important. But, let's think about this together! Before the current smartphone, history gave us other devices, such as the beeper and the mobile phone.
