A calligraphy club, Mook Hyang, was established 29 years ago in 1982. This club has a history and tradition of 29 years and aims to teach members how to develop their confidence in practicing calligraphy stroke.
This club has held exhibitions twice a year and it sometimes appreciates art works at art museum and Seong San art hall. Also, on May 3, they had a special lecture on calligraphy by a graduate who is one of the founding members. Club activities mainly consist of calligraphy writing, which makes you study Chinese characters. Another advantage of joining the club is that since their room is large, they can do various activities besides calligraphy.
Also, Mook Hyang club is proud of its being high level of calligraphy compared with the clubs of other colleges. Finally, Ban Bo-seok(Dept. of Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering 04), a president of Mook Hyang club, talked about future activity direction, "Though the club activities sometimes discontinue and fall in recession, we will reactivate the club activities on the ground that many freshmen joined the club this year."
