For example, I will tell you about preparing for competitions, extramural activities, and jobs. Extramural activities require you to prepare well-written self-introduction or portfolio. It is the same as getting a job. To be employed for a good workplace, you should have a GPA higher than average ones, a foreign language skill (English is crucial), and SPECs such as certifications or some distinctive prizes. Also, you should write your self-introduction expressing your personality traits well. I heard that self-introductions written in haste before a deadline rarely passed through the documentation, even though the person was good at writing. We shouldn¡¯t apply to a company we want to get into if we didn¡¯t prepare our SPECs completely when there is competitive recruitment.
Examinations are the same thing. We shouldn¡¯t anticipate good grades if we didn't study hard for the tests. We can¡¯t do well on tests like some persons who are very clever, who can cram at the last minute even if we try to cheat. And cheating is not effective without studying to some degree.
Be prepared, always! Do your self management thoroughly. An opportunity doesn¡¯t come suddenly. Only those who are well prepared can get the greatest chances.
