CNU Credits can be obtained at Seoul National University

CNU students can now obtain credits from Seoul National University lectures. Deans of both universities signed a collaboration contract. Students from each university can attend the campus lectures from each university for 6 to a year and obtain credits. Furthermore, students can also attend additional programs such as short term English programs. Representative students from Changwon National University are due to attend the Seoul National University Campus programs.

Also, Changwon National University decided to co-administrate Liberal Art Lectures for the public with Seoul National University. Further agreements were made to collaborate in associated researches, seminars, publishing and facility control.

A Technology Transfer Contract of CNU

A academic-industrial cooperation corps of CNU made a technology transfer contract with “Korea Construction Technology Robot” on September 15th. Lee Min-Ki, a professor in Department of Control & Instrumentation Engineering, developed “Stone Man” to be used in harbor construction work and “Stone Diver”to be used under water. Two robots can transfer and construct 2~3ton stones in the sea. It is easy to operate them by remote control. This technology sold for 500 million won and Mr. Lee will receive a portion of sales. Yoon Sang-Ho, a patent adviser of CNU, said “This contract will be a turning point in the course of CNU’s technology transfer project.”

Closed Early Apply in 2010

CNU early apply was closed from 9th to 14th September. Before 3 month Korea Scholastic Aptitude Test, In period of crisis global economy, national university more and more valuable, so CNU increased the number of students to be admitted, 937 students in 2009’ to 1332 students in 2010’ application. Also the number of students who was applied CNU increased.

Average of competitive rate is, “5.35:1, increased about 1person compared with last year. Department of nursing science, will establish next year in concern about all the people in CNU, recorded 35.60:1 highest competitive rate in apply type of superior grade in high school. Department of mechanical engineering recorded second high competitive rate, 10.55:1.
