Only a couple weeks after Bongrim Daedong-je, various departments held their leading events.

At first, from Oct. 6^th to 8^th, the Department of Korean and Literature held the 3^rd ‘Hangeul week’ entitled ‘Hangeul which is similar to people’ to celebrate Hangeul Day. This event consisted of writing contests for the first day and an exhibition of illustrated poems and students presentation for the days left. For the lecture of last day, Kim Moon-ju, a writer of juvenile stories gave students useful advice.

Park Jeong-sun, the dean of this department started this event by saying, “I hope you think of how to make up Hangeul.”

“I am so glad to participate in this great contest in the deepening autumn. I realized that literature is so hard to digest but also to create.” said Shin Dae-hwan (German Language and Literature).

Meanwhile, on Oct. 7^th, a mock trial (Home alone) was held which is a pride for the Department of Law.

Sul Min-ku, the student president of this dept. declared that they focused on showing a wide range of problems of multicultural families as the numbers of them increase.

The outline of the event was: there is a foreigner, Do Hyang-eun who married Min Ju-nong. Min Ju-nong’s parents and Min Ju-nong assaulted and verbally abused Do Hyang-eun habitually. Min Ju-nong even used to rape her. Someday, Min Ju-nong and his parents died after eating snacks made by Do Hyang-Eun. However, she denied the crime. The show starts from here.

It already holds a special place in this department's students’ minds. Especially, Ryu Byeong-kwan, the dean of this dept. says it is very meaningful to apply the theoretical concept of law to the trial. It can broaden students’ knowledge to a wide extent.
