CWNU signed a Memorandum of Agreement with the Mongolia University of Science and Technology (MUST) about an academic exchange. It also set up a next-generation Energy Development Cooperation Center, a joint mechatronics laboratory, and a Korea and Mongolia Education Innovation Center at MUST.

CWNU will institute a double degree examination, a student invitation program, and a professor exchange. The Energy Development Cooperation Center will play an important role in diffusing a hybrid micro-wind and photovoltaic system carried out jointly by both universities. Both universities installed streetlights using solar and wind energy in Mongolia in a trial phase. A joint laboratory is expected to aid in the advancement of science and technology in Korea and Mongolia by sharing both universities’ training and research related to mechatronics. CWNU will also work with MUST to attract academic talent.

CWNU held a mutual cooperation agreement ceremony for innovation in education with SK Telecom and NS Double Corporation in early October. CWNU received a UBT (Ubiquitous-Based Test) solution license, a test that uses tablet PCs, for 5 years free of charge. CWNU will deliver the UBT solution to MUST through the Korea and Mongolia Education Innovation Center. The UBT solution is a new technology that can conduct web-based examinations and education, using portable PC tablets. CWNU is the first among engineering university to use the system.

President Lee said, “CWNU’s long-term development will play a big role with MUST in establishing the Energy Development Cooperation Center, a mechatronics joint laboratory, and the Korea and Mongolia Education Innovation Center. CWNU will engage in international exchanges to cultivate global talent in the future. Recently, CWNU confirmed a plan to set up a graduate school of Special Pedagogy at Tribubeon University in Nepal and will start operations next January.
