Have you ever visited the CWNU Library homepage? Although it provides a lot of useful academic information, students rarely take advantage of it. To promote better use of online knowledge services, CWNU held a Digital Information Exhibition on Tuesday, September 23, at the library U-lounge. This is the second exhibition, all university members could participate between 10:00 to 17:00. There were 11 booths including Kyobo Book, DBpia, Newnonmun, IEEE, and Mekia. Experts from these companies showed their online sites, explaining how to access digital information. Originally, students had to pay for E-Books and thesis that were being provided, however, thanks to a contract between CWNU and those companies, it is free of charge. For example, to read an E-book by mobile phone, simply download ‘Kyobo library app’ and search for the CWNU Library. Instead of going to library and lending heavy book, about 3,000 books can be checked out online. Also, to attract students’ attention, there was free popcorn and a prize draw. Participants who visited 6 out of 11 booths were eligible to enter the event. There were various gifts, including, Galaxy Tabs, External hard disk drives and gift certificates. About 300 students joined the exhibition. Kang Min-hee (Dept. of International Trade), said, “I have difficulty in searching for thesis to write reports, but today, I got to know a lot of useful information about digital material. I hope students to use our online library more often than before. “
