Have you joined any clubs? As they say, ‘Joining a club can be therapy for loneliness.’ All CWNU clubs had their annual event on March 5^th – 6^th in front of the Bongrim student hall to invite new club members, especially freshmen. Although this event lasted two days, freshmen and other students did not enjoy this promotional event enough because of the terrible windy weather. So on the second day, some clubs cancelled their promotion and others pitched a large tent to avoid the wind. This open invited event left much to be desired especially for the freshmen.

Meanwhile, the general students’ association had a memorial ceremony on March 6. The student body president, Lee In-Gil (Dept of Biology '08) bowed in front of the Bongrim student hall and greeted CWNU students. Some students stood in a circle and participated in this event. "It was an interesting, and profitable time in the university" said Hwang Ji-Woong (Dept of Convergence and Integration ‘14). "I didn’t know about the general students’ association, and it was a good chance to see them." He seemed to enjoy this event, and looked interested.

In spite of the weather, CWNU felt energetic during this period. Club members went around in front of the Bongrim Student Hall and talked with freshmen and other students. PHOENIX, the CWNU cheering leading squad, gave a performance as they had also performed at other events such as freshmen orientation. DDANG SARANG, the folk and rock band club, also gave a performance. They played instruments including the guitar and bass, and sang. NABI, the discussion club, which talks about history and current affairs with CWNU student’s explained the importance of persuasive debating skills and discussions. They emphasized friendship during university, and they said ‘we are like family members’.

However, the club room tour which is another annual event in which freshmen can look around the club rooms was not held.
