The newspaper in the analogue period represented almost all mass media and was a far cry from our current digital period. He suggested what mass media must do and must not do. First, the transmission of factual information that has not been distorted is crucial. Second, mass media must do adequate surveillance, criticism, and checks about authority sources. Also, he said the press that reports the information must keep a neutral stance, so as not to distort the information and transmit the information realistically and accurately. But he has been angry about transmitted information that has been distorted in the past.
In recent years, if you have uploaded via SNS to take pictures about candle rally demonstrations during the digital age, even if you have not seen the mass media reports, you can know the details easily. So it has been a real blessing for the young generation to be living in the digital period. Nevertheless, we should not be contented with the news. Because mass media has also reported unnecessary information, and left out still more important information. Currently, various incidents in Korea directly connected to the public have been occurring with frequency, but the news programs just report on the weather forecast, or the mass media highlights the wrong type of news.
Finally, political powers can claim an opinion that is their own, but the press must not report them as a unilateral position. The true role of the press is to report realistic and important information.
