The visiting concert is produced as part of ‘CWNU's social contribution enterprise.’ CWNU's social contribution enterprise has already donated money to welfare facilities every holiday, and so on. They continuously do volunteering and last year they held a charity concert with invited conductor Keum Nan-sae for Changwon citizens.
This year, as part of this program, CWNU is holdng visiting concerts for passersby in Changwon. CWNU has begun performances in the Changwon university train station lobby from 4:20pm to 5:10pm every Friday. CWNU Music Dept. students performed their first ‘visiting concert’ on Friday, April 20th. And the concert was the first of a total of eight weekly performances which will continue to provide melodious music for Changwon citizens until June 17th.
This first performance included a brass quintet (two trumpet, horn, trombone and tuba) and a string quartet (two violins, viola and cello).
KTX Changwon central station employee Ahn Young-kwon said, "Thanks for this music concert, and Changwon citizens really loved the melodious sound. There are almost never any street performances in Changwon, but we could enjoy this show. It was an especially good opportunity for old people to watch the concert up close."
CWNU scheduled the show at a time with a large traveling population by mutual consent with Changwon central station.
In the future they plan to prepare various new performance events to satisfy citizens’ cultural desires.
