The Meritzfire 88th anniversary was dedicated to finding young and dynamic university students and collecting futuristic original insights and ideas about brands and insurance. The contest promotes value enhancement, marketing strategies and new product development ideas, and it featured original works of visual art from 100 different teams representing 50 universities.
This contest had 4 criteria of assessment: original ideas, feasibility, logical reasoning and truthful information. It included a first screening to assess the documentation and a second competition assessing the presentation, through an impartial appraisal of judges and executives. A grand prize team, two excellence teams, three prize teams, and ten participation prize were awarded certificates of merit with prize money.
The ¡®Children Height Guarantee Insurance¡¯ by Ki Yu Mi team from Kyungpook National University was awarded the grand prize. Meanwhile, the ¡®Thinking is cooooool¡¯ team of Yang Yeo Wool, Kim Kyeong Jun, Kim Hyeon Ju, and Cho In Tae from CWNU¡¯s Dept. of Finance Insurance, which submitted ¡®Mens¡¯Beauty Plan¡¯, and the ¡®KUDOS¡¯ team from Korea University were awarded the excellence prize.
