The 22nd Bongrim Software Exhibition
In the Dept. of Computer Engineering at CWNU, the Bongrim Software Exhibition was held for three days from Wednesday Nov. 3rd to Friday Nov. 5th 2010. This event has been held in the second semester every year and it was the 22nd annual event.

First of all, on Nov. 3rd, the exhibition started with an invited lecturer at the central laboratory for Science & Technology from 16:30 pm to 18:00 pm. A branch manager of Sam-sung SDS, Sung Joong-hyun, who was invited for the lecture, spoke about the topic, ‘What talents does SAMSUNG want?’ Many students who were preparing for employment and desired to work for a large company after graduation, joined in the lecture, and it was a valuable time to learn many tips for getting a good job.

The next day, Nov. 4th, an event on the eve of the actual exhibition was held at the Engineering bldg (#55) in room 516 from 19:00 pm to 21:00 pm.

On the final day, Nov. 5th, there was an exhibition entitled “Bongrim Software” in the exhibition room of the first floor of the Arts bldg (#63) from 10:00 am to 17:00 pm. The exhibition works were all made by students who will soon graduate. Students in the dept. of Computer Engineering, wearing red t-shirts, explained their works to help people understand them well.

In the exhibition, there were around 20 works including ‘TwTKnol : Knowledge Base Using Twitter’, ‘Local Text Detection Using IR Approach’, ‘Web Database Design Tool Base On Web’ and ‘Content-Based Image Retrieval’ by students, as well as some works entered by school circles (IS, MIT, CASPER, Net-free and Patdori).

One of them, ‘Product Review System using a semantic dictionary,’ was a system to analyze assessments and preference and print them out by searching comments about goods that users want to buy on social network services such as Twitter and Me2day. Using web-pages, users can handle this system more easily and comfortably, and it shows users more stable results in their research by using databases.

In addition to graduation works, the exhibition also included graduate theses and several plaques that students in the Dept. of Computer Engineering won in out-of-school competitions. People who attended the exhibition were given stickers to select excellent graduation works after the exhibition.
