About 50 people, including freshman and sophomore students took part in a career camp by ¡®Hyundai Talent Development Institute¡¯ located in Gyeonggi-do Yongin City from Aug. 25th to 27th. They experienced business culture and had time to think earnestly about what to prepare for the realization of their dream.
The career camp was composed of useful programs such as virtual experiences about business organization; business management simulation; understanding of the career world and communication skills; self-leadership; setting up a vision for career choices; planning toward career aims and action guidelines; and mock business situations. These programs were very well-received by participants.
Jung Min-Ju (Dept. of Physical Education, 09) gave her thoughts: ¡°I didn¡¯t prepare for jobs because I¡¯m still a sophomore. So I didn¡¯t take my courses for a career. But I feel good because I could search and think about many occupations which correspond with my aptitude through this program.¡±
Jo Gi-Jae (Dept. of Finance Insurance, 09) said that, ¡°I was participating in the career program for the first time, but this career camp was very useful. It was a good chance to think deeply about careers. I would recommend it to friends who did not attend this camp and our juniors.¡±
Those concerned at CWNU said, ¡°Recently, young people¡¯s unemployment crisis is becoming a social problem. So this kind of job training program is believed to be an alternative to the problem. We will strengthen the job competitiveness of our university students through this excellent program.¡±
CWNU is going to hold a career camp at a major company training institute in winter vacation too, and is planning to expand the program drastically.
