CWNU, in 2009, was selected the best university, because CWNU’s employment rate is ranked second (73.6%) out of all national universities, and students participating in the ‘strengthening education capabilities business’ had a grade improvement rate of 15%.
Also, the 2010 plan of operation was highly praised, and for this reason also, CWNU was selected the best university.
CWNU will use this state support to reinforce the students’ Competitiveness of Education.
The two hundred best freshmen will be granted university living expenses and receive tuition. In particular, about 140 low-income students will be awarded a scholarship on an Education and Welfare reinforcement.
CWNU plans to offer English education opportunities to prepare students for global competitiveness and will provide TOEIC preparation, as well as English conversation classes with native speakers to 2000 students at no cost this year.
Our university is planning to send lower year students to career camps which will help them to explore their aptitudes. And CWNU will expand job camps for the upper year students.
CWNU is intensively fostering 8 departments, including Mechatronics, Metallurgy & Materials, Ceramic, Civil, Architecture, Shipbuilding & Chemical, Tax Management, Food & Nutrition and Chemistry. The departments are supported with scholarships, study abroad opportunities, various special lectures, experiment practice, and so on.
President Park Seong-Ho revealed his strong ambitions: “I will make a dignified university that takes responsibility for working to help students learn properly.”
