CWNU dormitory residents’ council leader Jung Yoon-Hun spearheaded the celebration of the 12th annual ‘Festival of Grace Season 2 on May 13 and 14. The festivities had been delayed to commemorate the Cheon-An maritime disaster. The dormitories usually restrict access to non-residents but during the festival, visitors such as family and friends are allowed.

As one of the events at the festival, ‘Two glasses, two bottles’ bar was opened at the general assembly room on the 2nd floor from 20:00 to 24:30. The bar sold snacks and appetizers at reasonable prices so it was quite popular among the students.

A concert was held at the university pond on the second day of the festival, May 14, from 19:00 to 22:00. The concert featured performances by students and club members who made it to the qualifying round. First, second, and third prizes were awarded, and the first prize winner received 150,000 won. Special awards were also given by the judges. The highlight of the concert was the lively performance of the famous Korean duo ‘One Two’. The duo performed their hit songs ‘A starry night’, ‘Bad Woman’, ‘Waral-lawal-lele’, and so on. The audience was thrilled with the duo’s dynamic singing and charm.

An ‘Open House’ event was also held from 10:00 to 19:00, and during this time, men could enter the women’s dormitory and vice versa. This event could happen only during the festival, so the residents enjoyed the opportunity to see what the other dormitories look like.

The dormitory residents’ council leader Jung Yoon-Hun said “The concert and the bar event were delayed due to the Cheon-an tragedy, but we wanted to keep our promise to the students. Through this festival, we wanted to offer local residents a variety of attractions and enjoyment. We would like to sincerely thank the many people who helped us make the festival a success. These people think of dormitory residents as their own sons and daughters. Again, we thank everyone. In the future, we promise you that the council will do its best for the dormitory residents. I hope the students show us a lot of interest.”

This year's festival was a huge success and it is hoped that students will participate in next year's festival as well
